Loose Tar on FM 665 Reportedly Damaged At Least 30 Vehicles
NUECES COUNTY (Kiii News) -
Several motorists have reported damage to their vehicles after loose tar on a stretch of FM 665 became a problem for drivers Thursday afternoon.
According to Brannan Paving Company, a contractor hired by the Texas Department of Transportation for roadwork on FM 665 between Alice and Robstown, they have received 30 calls from drivers saying their vehicle was damaged.
The 10-mile stretch of road has been closed down as the contractor works to resurface the roadway. A spokesperson from Brannan Paving Company said the pavement should be fixed by Saturday.
