There are now $30,000 worth of prescription medicines on the streets after a pharmacy on South Port Avenue was burglarized overnight.Somebody broke into the pharmacy overnight and took every prescription medicine they could find, from blood pressure pills to pain killers."Someone forced their way into the building," said Senior Officer Kirk Stowers of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "There was a couple of doors that were damaged from the front and the back."The Everitt family has owned the place since 1956. They say they had insurance and hope to be restocked soon. As a result of the break-in, the pharmacy has installed an upgraded security system.
