Javelinas Hold First Practice Under Coach David Calloway
KINGSVILLE (Kiii Sports) - The Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas are looking to improve upon their third place finish in the Lone Star Conference last season, and they're looking to new coach David Calloway to make it happen.
The Javelinas kicked off their first fall practice late Friday afternoon, and their first with Calloway as head coach. Texas A&M-Kingsville promoted him to the main job from defensive coordinator after Bo Atterberry resigned in December.
The Hoggies will have to find a new man behind center after multiple year starter Nate Poppell graduated.
