Man Clinging onto Overturned Kayak Rescued

Some tense moments for one man after his kayak overturned and the rescue was caught on tape. The video was sent to us by the US Coast Guard.  It happened 8 Miles north of the Packery Channel.

Officials say around 11am, the Coast Guard received a call for a man that overturned his kayak and was barely clinging to it.

A rescue helicopter and rescue boat both responded.

The helicopter located the man about an hour later, which was partially submerged in the water.

The man was said to be wearing a life jacket. He was plucked from the water and will be okay.

    The Coast Guard is searching for a 37-year-old San Antonio man missing from a boat that sank Sunday off of Port Aransas.     They were rescued from the streets and today a few dogs and cats were hoping to find their new forever homes. Local rescue groups like Peewee's and for the Love of Strays were over at PetSmart today trying to adopt out all of these pets. It was apart of PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend.
