Gunfire erupts at a Beeville park leaving one man dead and police say they have arrested the suspect. The shooting happened in broad daylight right around 3 Sunday afternoon on the 1100 block of Fannin Street at Nopal Park. Police say the victim who is in his early 20's was at the park with his friends, when a car pulled up and the suspect started shooting at them from inside the car. The suspect continued shooting as he got out of the car. The victim was shot once with a 22 riffle. He was taken to the hospital where he died. The suspect fled the scene, but as police investigated, they learned the suspect name was Richard Longoria. A few hours later, police were able to track him down. The suspect surrendered without a fight. Authorities believe the victim and suspect might have been fighting over a girl. The suspect is still being questioned right now and could face murder charges.
