Crime Stoppers: Thief Robs Store with Fire Extinguisher

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Police need your help finding a thief who allegedly stole money from a local Goodwill store earlier this month using a fire extinguisher.

It was Saturday, Aug. 3, when employees of Goodwill were doing paperwork at their work stations at the 2900 block of Port Avenue. A man walked into the office and used a fire extinguisher to distract the employees.

The irritant mixture from the fire extinguisher caused the employees to leave their work stations while the man grabbed money from the safe and left the building. He has not yet been apprehended.

Detectives now need your help to catch the thief.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, about 25-30 years in age. He is about five-foot four and weighs about 120 pounds. The suspect wore a black cap, sunglasses, a gray long-sleeve shirt, black gloves, black shorts and black shoes.

If you can identify the suspect, or if you have any additional information about this crime, please call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477, or visit www.888tips.com. If the information you provide leads to an arrest, you could earn $1,000 in cash.
