Police Find Work Trailer Stolen from Padre Island Resident

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Police found the trailer that was stolen from a Padre Island home remodeler earlier this week. It was discovered Thursday morning on Zarsky Street, just off Gollihar near Airline.

The trailer, which contained all of the man's tools when it was stolen Tuesday night, belonged to Kevin Kelley, who lives in Padre Island. It was parked in the driveway of his home on the 14000 block of Goldfish. The thieves reportedly hitched it up and drove off with it.

Kelley said the trailer received some damage to its top and side, but worst of all, the tools that it contained -- valued at more than $3,000 -- were gone.

However, there is one silver lining. Police believe fingerprints were left inside of the trailer.

In the meantime, Kelley said that his offer of a $1,000 reward for anyone who comes forward with information that can lead police to the thieves still stands.

"The offer is still out there for the $1,000. You give me the people that did it. Somebody can turn them in. That is still an open offer," Kelley said. "That trailer has been somewhere, where somebody has seen it. Offer is there if they catch the people."

If you have any information that could help police find those responsible for the theft, please call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477.
