Two owls are back out in the wild. The Great Horned Owls were set free around 6:30 Tuesday night in Robstown.
The two young birds were found orphaned at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds and were taken to the Texas State Aquarium for rehab.
"We've had them since April," said Kelley Shutt who works at the Texas State Aquarium. "It took a month to two months to be fully fledged then conditioned to hunt."
Shutt says the owls should succeed because they have a good habitat. The pair was released at the same spot where they were found.
