Shrimp Boil Fundraiser Held for Minority Advancement Project
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A special benefit fundraiser was held Wednesday evening to benefit the Minority Advancement Project of Texas, an effort focused on equality and fairness.
Their mission statement is to educate, empower and advocate on behalf of those most in need, and MAP has benefited students all across the Coastal Bend. They recently sent 90 students from West Oso High School to Austin, where they toured both the Texas State Capitol and the University of Texas campus.
Kiii Chief Meteorologist Bill Vessey went Live with details of the event -- a shrimp boil fundraiser held at Heritage Park.
