Community Comes Through with Teddy Bears for Juvenile Justice Center
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
There were stuffed animals as far as they eye could see at the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center Friday, all donations from members of the community.
The Juvenile Justice Center was dangerously close to running out of teddy bears, which they keep around to give to children to help break the ice and get them to talk to Judge Brent Chesney more freely.
Chesney sent out word last week that they were running low on teddy bears, and since then, the community has come through, with donations coming in daily.
If you would like to contribute, you can drop off a bear at the Juvenile Justice Center during normal business hours Monday through Friday. It's located at 2310 Gollihar Road.
