Two people were sent to the hospital Sunday night after they were trampled by a group of horses. The stampede happened around 6:45 this evening near Bob Hall Pier.
Police say some motorcycle riders revved their engines which startled a nearby group of horses. As a result the riders on the horses were thrown off and trampled.
Two people including a teenager were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Several other beach-goers were injured as they were attempting to get out of the way of the horses.
Police say the bystanders only suffered some bumps and bruises.
