A big donation on the campus of Texas A&M University isn't only being used as a teaching tool but also as a way to save money. Take a look at these brand new solar panels on top of the engineering building on campus. A special dedication was held to officially flip the switch. The university is hoping to harvest the sun's energy as a way to teach students about renewable energy as well as further research for solar technology. the solar panels came at a cost of $75,000 dollars which was donated by the Green Mountain Energy Company.
