Corpus Christi Police say a 13-year old girl stabbed her mom's boyfriend in an attempt to stop him from allegedly hitting her mom.
"My neighbor he was screaming help, help, help. And he was coming out here and he was bleeding from his eye and he was like all my daughter stabbed me," said neighbor and witness Joaquin Garza.
Investigators tell us the teen stabbed the man in the eye area with a screw driver along the 100 block of Osage. Neighbors say the man was then seen running to other homes near-by screaming for help.
"They were fighting and he hit her head against the wall. Like he grabbed her and hit her head against the wall and his daughter saw that and she got like a knife or a screwdriver. He grabbed her like that like he was gonna hug her and then he picked up his hand and he went like that and she went like that and stabbed him in the eye," said another neighbor, Jose Rivera.
"He's all like somebody help me. I can't see, I think I'm going to fall. We took him all the way over there and we followed him, the cops got there and they had tried to calm him down and they looked at his eye and it was bleeding everywhere," said Garza.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries, but now it's he and not the 13-year old facing charges for assault. The teen and the mother remained in the home.
