Horses Startled from Revving Motorcycles on the Beach
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Two people are continuing to recover after they fell off horses over the weekend on Padre Island.
It all happened around 6:45PM Sunday evening near Bob Hall Pier. Police say some motorcycle riders revved their engines startling a nearby group of horses. As a result their riders were thrown off. Two people, including a teenager, were taken to area hospitals with bumps and bruises.
"They were scared and they did run. It certainly wasn't a stampede. A few people fell off. They suffered minor bumps and bruises," says Sam Pauly, Head Wrangler of the horses.
Seven people in all fell off their horses, fortunately there were no serious injuries.
