After being nursed back to health, two laughing gulls that were found injured about a month ago have been released back into the wild. The release happened at Indian Point Pier in Portland. The birds looked around their new environment for a good minute before they finally tested out their wings and flew off. One of the gulls somehow swallowed a fishing hook. The other gull had been hit by a car. Both were taken to the Texas State Aquarium for help. If you find an injured bird , this is the number to call (361) 881-1210.
