According to the Harvard School of Public Health, fruit could offer you better protection from developing Type 2 diabetes.
Researchers are saying that there are certain types of fruits that can offer better protection than others. Those include blueberries, grapes and apples.
In a study published online, researchers examined the dietary habits of more than 185,000 participants and found those who ate three servings a week of blueberries had more than a 25-percent lower risk. Those who ate grapes had an 11-percent risk, and those who ate apples had a five-percent lower risk.
However, researchers did say that further study is needed because the study does not prove that eating some fruits like blueberries actually helps people avoid diabetes.
