CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A hit and run driver takes his pants off in an attempt to throw off police who were looking for him.
The crash happened just before 3:00 p.m. on the corner of Avalon and Alameda. The driver of the van rear ended a truck then took off. He ditched his van in the 3700 block of Topeka near Alameda and Doddridge.
Police say the man then jumped out of the van and took off his pants. He walked about a half a block away and sat on a bus bench.
Officers were able to spot the man and arrest him. He is now facing at least a DWI charge. The suspect told the officers he was doing cocaine and took off because he thought officers were chasing him.
