CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A special program to help veterans get a heads-up in the business world was held Thursday at Del Mar College's Economic Development Center.

It's called the Veterans Entrepreneurship Boot Camp, and it was put on by an organization called Momentum Texas, which helps veterans get their businesses off the ground.

"We have about half a dozen experts to talk to the veterans about management, marketing and money," Momentum Texas President Jim Reid said.

Nueces County Judge Loyd Neal, a veteran himself, was on hand to speak during the lunchtime hour.

If you are a veteran and are looking to start up your own business, go to www.momentumtexas.org.
