CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - Alice and Kingsville brought impressive records into their game at Javelina Stadium. After spotting the Coyotes a 14-0 lead, the Brahmas finally got going to cut the Alice lead to 14-12. Once again, missed extra points were a factor as Alice pulled away in the second half to post a 37-20 win and stay unbeaten.

The state-ranked Refugio Bobcats hosted the Lago Vista Vikings from District 13-2A. After grabbing a 15-0 lead, Refugio wound up a loser in the regular season for the first time since 2006 as Lago Vista scored late to pull off the upset, 45-39. That snapped a 62-game regular-season winning streak for the Bobcats.

The Falfurrias Jerseys continued to pile up impressive stats through 3 games of the 2013 season. A 53-0 blowout win on Friday night at Riviera makes them an early contender to win District 16-2A this year.

Woodsboro hosted Santa Gertrudis in hopes of continuing its strong surge under 2nd-year coach Wade Miller. Mission accomplished as the Eagles beat Academy 28-6 in Woodsboro.

The Tuloso-Midway Warriors picked up a big win last night as they rallied to beat Mission 20-13.

The T-M marching band provided the entertainment as well with a featured performance on our Marching Scoreboard.
