SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 22nd, 2013, at the second annual China Charity Fair, China's largest exhibition aiming to promote charity and social innovation, Mr. Ye Wenzi, the vice president of Educational Science Research Institute of Shenzhen and one of renowned education experts in China, attended the summit forum "Social Innovation via Business Intelligence" and announced the launch of a three-year research project "Comparison between Innovation Skills and Practical Ability among Chinese and Foreign Youth and Research on Future of Education in China." With the guidance of National Institute of Education Sciences under the Ministry of Education, a research group will be set up; representatives from education sector and education foundations, education experts, and professors of Teacher Training Colleges will be responsible for conducting this project. This project will cover 6 provinces, 15 major cities, and China's 200 outstanding secondary schools in phases, with involvement of about 20,000 teachers and 500,000 students. It is a significant practice of China developing a unique elementary education and a new education with an international vision that is witnessed in students' involvement in social welfare and international exchanges, and it will greatly promote primary and secondary innovative education in China and cultivation of international creative talents.
International affairs head of this project, Emily Hu, is the former leader of Secondary School English Standards Research Team under the Ministry of Education, CEO and chief education adviser of Ivy Elite Education (IEE). She introduced that within three years these schools selected by the Ministry of Education will conduct detailed researches on information technology's application in education, innovation education, teacher with innovation capabilities, and analyze application of the researches in schools. The research team will invite schools in the United States, Canada, and Hong Kong, education groups and councils to participate in the research, and accept renowned funds to this national research program. By learning practices and experience from these foreign schools and education groups, the team will also jointly conduct research and exchange with the aforesaid China's 200 secondary schools, to provide China's secondary schools with practical, forward-looking, and innovative courses, online education model and innovative teachers training within three years, thus promoting capabilities of high schools in training international and innovative talents.
