The Better Business Bureau has issued a warning for those that shop online. They say they have seen a sharp spike in complaints against online retailers."The BBB has received six times more complaints against online retailers then they did last year," Better Business Bureau's Tracy Bracy said. They offered some tips on what to watch out for:First, pay close attention to the advertised price. If the prices for items are well below those of trusted competitors, be wary. Also, watch out for spelling and grammar mistakes on websites. That is usually a telltale sign that a site is created by an overseas scammer.Be wary of wire transfers. Scammers like that form of payment because money is harder to track that way. Finally, make sure you can find a physical address for a company -- not just a P.O. Box or phone number.
