Police Believe Same Man Responsible for Two Sexual Assaults
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Two sexual assaults over the weekend occurred within a 24-hour period, and police believe that the attacker might be the same guy.
The first assault happened Friday, when a 19-year old was flagged down on the 4200 block of Ocean Drive. She got out of her vehicle and the suspect attempted to sexually assault her. She was able to fight back with pepper spray.
The second assault happened 24 hours after the first assault. 19-year old Samantha Alaniz was flagged down near Alameda and Louisiana. The suspect told her she was dragging something with her car, so she pulled over in front of Menger Elementary to check it out.
That's where the suspect attacked her and sexually assaulted her. The young woman fought the suspect back with her keys, and he fled in a maroon or red truck.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 30-40 years old. He stands about five-foot eight or five-foot nine, and weighs between 2404-280 pounds. He was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt and shorts.
