Police Identify Suspect in Two Convenience Store Robberies

Corpus Christi Police Department detectives have identified a man who is a suspect in two armed robberies here in the city.
An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for 22-year old Fabian Lee Bentancourt, who is suspected in two armed robberies. One took place Sept. 17, when he allegedly displayed a knife and demanded cash from the Stripes convenience store on the 3600 block of Staples. The second took place Sept. 20 at the Stripes on the 5100 block of Weber Road.
Bentancourt is considered armed and dangerous, and the public is urged not to approach him if he is seen. If you have any idea as to his whereabouts, please call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-8477.
