Kick-Off Party for Annual Cattle Baron's Ball Fundraising
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Dozens of VIPs were invited to a preview party Thursday night to kick off fundraising for the annual Cattle Baron's Ball.
The Cattle Baron's Ball is the largest single fundraiser in South Texas for the American Cancer Society. Thursday night's special kick-off party was held at Havana Club in downtown Corpus Christi.
One mother at the event knows first-hand the importance of the work done by the Cattle Barons.
"It means so much to us that they have asked to be the designated research that they are going to contribute to, which is the kind of cancer that my daughter has," said Jessica Hester, whose child has cancer. "And that is what is so important to us."
The next Cattle Baron's Ball will be held at the Richard Borchard Fairgrounds in March of next year.
