October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and on Sunday, a group of kids were out at a busy intersection to try and do their part to help in the fight.
The kids, along with their parents, gathered on the corner of SPID and Staples, where they all wore pink and sold pink lemonade. The group is made up of friends, each one knowing at least one person who has been affected by breast cancer. They said they just wanted to do their part to help spread awareness.
"We're all friends. We put this team together a year ago," Amanda Leal said. "Just growing. Second year doing it."
The group raised about $600. That money will all go to the American Cancer Society.
