Barely Conscious Assault Victim Drives Self to Convenience Store
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A 31-year old man was transported to the hospital after being assaulted and driving himself to the Stripes convenience store on Nueces Bay Boulevard for help.
The victim, bloodied from the alleged assault, was barely conscious when he arrived at the store. He was only able to tell police that his wallet and shoes were missing.
"He did speak to us, but he had a pretty good head wound," said Lt. James Garrett of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "He was still coming back around. We are still trying to come up with a suspect description and a location of where it happened."
The victim was transported to Spohn Memorial Hospital.
