This Year's Jazz Festival Said to Be Biggest One Yet
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Organizers of the 53rd annual Texas Jazz Festival say this year's festival will be bigger than ever as they add another stage to the event.
According to the event organizers, it's one of the largest free three-day concerts in Texas, and it's expanding. They are bringing in over 55 bands from all over the U.S. to perform on three stages.
Rick Sanchez, president of the Texas Jazz Festival, says they are adding square space by using the American Bank Center's parking lot. They have also received some help to ease any parking frustrations.
"We partnered with the Regional Transportation Authority. They will have three park and ride section, from City Hall to the County Courthouse and the old Memorial Coliseum parking lot," Sanchez said. "You park there free, and we have free shuttles going back and forth every 15 minutes, right to the entrance to the Jazz Festival."
It's all free, so mark your calendars. The Jazz Festival runs from Oct. 18-20, and Kiii-TV is a proud sponsor.
