A local pest control company has offered aid to a Flour Bluff couple seeking help dealing with bees that invaded their home.
The couple was unable to pay for a private exterminator, and the City's Vector Control said that they could not get involved. The couple was concerned that kids coming and going from the Flour Bluff schools could get stung.
However, one of our viewers and clients, a local company called Pest Patrol, went to that couples rescue on Tuesday.
"You know, obviously it can be hazard, as far as with the kids walking by," Pest Patrol's Kent Nielsen said. "We're glad to do it."
Anthony and Linda Brooks said the bees moved in last week. They tried several times to get rid of them on their own, but to no avail. Now, the couple is happy that they can finally enjoy their yard again.
"The Lord has answered their prayers, answered our prayers, and so on," Anthony Brooks said. "That these pests, the bees, can be dealt with, which is exactly what we wanted; what my wife was praying for, and what I was praying for as well."
The folks at Pest Patrol said they have seen an increase in the number bee-calls since the weather has cooled down.
