Eat your veggies kids! We all know it can be tough getting young kids to eat healthy. At the Latchkey Program, Fannin Elementary came up with an interesting idea.
"Each session we have some kind lesson where they're actively learning about food and types of food how to select food and portion sizes," said Eric Baggerman with Driscoll Children's Hospital.
Baggerman says the "Lock-In Healthy Living" program shows children how to make good decisions when it comes to meals, snacks and exercise tips. Baggerman says if you start them out young, the lessons will stay with them for life and even transfer over to their families.
