The brand new Sam's Club at SPID and Everhart is opening its doors in just two weeks, and on Wednesday, 3News was given a first look inside.
Kiii News Reporter Bill Churchwell went Live from the new store with the details.
If you think the outside of the new Sam's Club is impressive, wait until you get a look inside.
"It's gong to be a high-ceiling Club," Sam's Club Manager Stephanie Calderon said. "Our last Club is a low-ceiling club. It's going to carry a lot more stock. Going to store stuff up through the steel."
The shelves are already stocked, and crews are hard at work putting the finishing touches on lighting and hanging signs. Of course, you will find familiar areas like the optical center, and the pharmacy; but there will also be some new additions.
"We're going to offer something called Home Made Solutions, which is dinner already pre-done here at the Club," Calderon said. "Pick it up, at a great value of course, and then you can feed your family by throwing it into the microwave. That is something new coming to the Sam's Club."
The Club will employ up to 300 workers both part-time and full-time, and will open just in time for the holiday season, with a preview day for the public on Oct. 23.
"You can come and take a look and preview, without being a member," Calderon said. "Allow regular customers to come in and offer the membership if they would like to take it."
The new Sam's Club replaces the one on Greenwood.
