Texas Rangers Arrest Man Wanted for Murder in Nueces County
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A man wanted on a murder warrant out of Nueces County was arrested by Texas Rangers Wednesday in San Antonio.
Jose Alfredo Saldana, 25, was wanted for the murder of a 52-year old man in Corpus Christi.
Officers were dispatched to an assault at the 2700 block of South Port Avenue, where they found the victim lying in a parking lot. The victim was taken to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital, where he died on Sunday, Oct. 6.
Texas Rangers caught up with Saldana in San Antonio on Wednesday and was booked into the Bexar County Jail. He was sent back to Corpus Christi and booked into the City Detention Center Wednesday evening.
According to police, it's the 14th homicide in Corpus Christi this year.
