Family and Protective Services Celebrates Bosses Day
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A local office held a special celebration Wednesday as an effort to boost morale in a high stress occupation.
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services office conducted Bosses Day. Employees decorated all their supervisors' doors and then held a luncheon to enjoy the day.
"The type of work that we do is kind of stressful, so having peer support and having managers that understand what the staff is actually doing in the field is very important," said John Lennan of Family and Protective Services. "So on days like today, when they can come together and just share some of that camaraderie, it really does a lot for morale."
The local Child Protective Services office houses more than 200 employees and conducts an employee day in the spring.
