Original Lobster Feast to Benefit International Seaman's Center
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Dozens of people went downtown Wednesday night to crack open some boiling lobsters, all for a good cause.
The Original Lobster Feast took place at Brewster's Street Ice House to help benefit the Corpus Christi International Seaman's Center, which serves as a home away from home for the seafarers visiting the Port of Corpus Christi.
"Raises very much needed money for the Seaman's Center," said Sharon Emerson of the Seaman's Center. "We have about 10,000 to 12,000 foreigner and domestic seamen that come into the Port every year, and provide a home away from home for them."
Organizers said they have been hosting the feast for 25 years.
