Judge Sentences 16-Year Old to 15 Years in Texas Youth Commission
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A 16-year old Corpus Christi boy was sentenced to 15 years in the Texas Youth Commission Monday for killing another 16-year old.
The sentence was handed down by District Judge Sandra Watts. The suspect, whose name has not been released, killed 16-year old Riley Nein back in July 4, 2012.
A grand jury declined to indict the suspect for murder, and instead, he plead guilty to aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. He will have to serve his sentence at TYC until he turns 19, when he could then be released or ordered to serve out his sentence in an adult prison.
