Pet Owner Could Be Cited After Pit Bull Bites Woman
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
A woman is recovering after she was attacked by a pit bull Tuesday morning at a neighborhood near South Bluff Park.
The incident happened at around 9 a.m. According to police, the 33-year old victim was walking in the area and saw the pit bull being walked by its owner. She tried to pet it, and that's when she was bitten.
One neighbor said he had concerns that the dog was aggressive.
"Every time the neighbors over here, went to empty the trash, they basically yell at them saying, 'Just be nice to him, he ain't bothering you,'" neighbor Steven Norman said. "It's not that way. It's an aggressive dog and it's not good for the neighborhood. It's an aggressive dog."
The owners of the pit bull are taking the dog to Animal Control on Wednesday, where it will be evaluated. Animal Control said the owner could face a citation.
