Preemies Visit Christus Spohn South for Halloween Event
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Rainy Thursday afternoon weather did not bother a group of young former patients at Christus Spohn Hospital South this Halloween.
The hospital was hosting the preemie Halloween event. Visitors to the hospital's festive event went to different departments while their parents enjoyed catching up with the doctors, nurses and staff who played such an important role in making Halloween possible for their children. The day became a real treat for both parents and medical staff.
Dr. Vaillier Ojadi, Neo-Natologist with Christus Spohn South, said,"This is actually a really good time for us. To get the chance to bond with the babies we took care of here in the NICU. We love it every year. It's actually look forward to it. It's something we enjoy."
The trick-or-treat event was held for former NICU patients as a special way to kickoff November's National Pre-maturity Awareness Month.
