Share Your Christmas Food Drive Less Than a Month Away

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The 26th annual Share Your Christmas Food Drive is less than a month a way, giving you a chance to help those in need.

Kiii-TV will be partnered up with the Food Bank of Corpus Christi and HEB to collect food and funds for the families who need it most.

The donation drive will take place Friday, Dec. 6, at the Kiii-TV studios, where you will have your chance to meet your favorite 3News reporters and anchors, as well as at HEB grocery stores all over the Coastal Bend.

In the meantime, you are encouraged to take full advantage of those tear pads at the HEB checkout. Some caring shoppers have already begun to do so.

"Every little bit helps," said Andrea Drake, who donated to the Food Bank. "Can mean so much to somebody else."

"Because it's a time for giving," Aliza Garza said. "I have everything, and I want them to have everything too."

"Christmas is a special time," Joanne Lay said. "Our Lord was born, and it's a time to share with people that are needy and that have a lot less then I do."

The food drive will kick off at 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6. We hope to see you out there.
