Tuesday's Tweet-a-Thon Event Benefiting Feeding America

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The holiday season is a time of giving, whether it's a helping hand or sharing much-needed food with families who do not have enough to eat.

That's why Kiii-TV is partnering up with Disney and ABC for "Season of Service."

On Tuesday, ABC will be holding a special one-hour Tweet-a-Thon from noon-1 p.m. to raise money and awareness for the non-profit Feeding America, an organization committed to hunger relief in the U.S.

During the Tweet-a-Thon, ABC's Dr. Richard Besser will donate $1 to Feeding America for every tweet. Just use the hashtag #abcDRBchat.

Also, during the entire month of November, Disney/ABC will be matching donations to Feeding America, and in turn, the Food Bank of Corpus Christi will receive donations.
