CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - Refugio QB Travis Quintanilla became Texas' all-time touchdown passer on Friday night as he tossed his 3 scoring passes in a 42-13 win over Danbury in El Campo.
Travis now has 168 career TD throws and is just 215 yards short of the career yardage record. He will get a chance set that record against state-ranked Rogers next weekend. Rogers beat Dilley 69-0 to advance to a meeting with Refugio next weekend in Cypress.
The Aransas Pass Panthers were in New Braunfels on Friday night to play state-ranked Cameron Yoe, the defending Class 2A State Champions. AP played well, but wound up losing 36-18.
Class 5A fans in Corpus Christi got a chance to see Laredo United beat Los Fresnos 16-10 on a chilly night at the Cabaniss Complex. United will return to Corpus Christi next Friday for a 4pm game against Converse Judson.
