Man Walks Into Bar, Stabs Occupant, Flees Scene

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A man is recovering this morning after being stabbed at a bar this weekend. Corpus Christi Police are saying there is no apparent motive for the violence which was caught on video.

"Have 20-year-old male victim was inside bar, just sitting at the bar having a drink, when the suspect walked up, from behind him, stabbed him two times in right side of body," said Lieutenant Jay Clement. "He just ran out the door. We watched the video, it shows the suspect casually walk up behind him and stab him to two times and flee."

The stabbing happening at the El Rincon Bar on Ayers near Tarlton. Police say even though there is video of the crime, it is hard to make out a suspects face. Witnesses describe the suspect is a Hispanic man in his late teens or early twenties. The 20-year-old victim was stabbed once in the chest and once in the stomach. Police say he is expected to survive his injuries. Call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS if you have any information that could lead to an arrest.
