NOAA: Atlantic Hurricane Season 2013 6th Least Active Since 1950

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The Atlantic hurricane season is over after spawning just two hurricanes this year, making it what the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says is the sixth least-active season since 1950.

There were no major hurricanes, only two category ones -- Humberto and Ingrid. The U.S. was largely spared this year, but Ingrid soaked Mexico's gulf coast when it made landfall there as a tropical storm.
