Flights to and from Dallas Canceled Due to Icy North Texas Weather

Posted: Updated:

The icy weather in North Texas caused flights to be canceled for travelers at the Corpus Christi International Airport on Friday.

American Airlines canceled all of its flights to and from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. So far just a single flight, the last of the evening, will be coming into Corpus Christi.

Needless to say, it caused quite a bit of trouble for travelers. One young woman, Christi Anillo, had been trying to get her boyfriend to Corpus Christi since Thursday night.

"The other Dallas airport is open, so we are trying to go from one airport to the other," Anillo said. "We have traffic or something with the snow, so he can fly out to actually get here."

If you're flying this weekend, make sure to keep tabs on your airline to see if there is a possibility of flights being affected come Saturday morning. Expect to see some delays.
