CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Two Corpus Christi men are in jail after leading officers on a pursuit. Investigators have not released the names of the men arrested. Sunday around 10:30 p.m., police attempted to pull a black car over on Tarlton near the Crosstown Expressway. The driver sped off. During the chase, several cars were struck until the driver crashed on Devon and Blevins street. Officer Sarah Morgan says she ran down the driver who tried to escape.

"He's facing evading and aggravated assault with deadly weapon," said Officer Morgan with the Corpus Christi Police Department. "Because he hit two vehicles with his vehicle, so right now we are looking for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon."

Morgan added illegal drugs were found in the car. Additional charges may be added.
