TXU Energy Donates Blankets, Slippers to Mission 911

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Folks at TXU Energy donated blankets and slippers to the Mission 911 shelter on Tuesday, and also helped decorate a Christmas tree.

"You know how cold it is outside. For somebody to take the time to give them a blanket, give them a slipper or even give the time to make a Christmas tree, it's home now," Mission 911 Director Tony Reyes said. "So this makes it a home for somebody that is struggling, that maybe feels that there is nobody out there for them. Now they feel the Christmas spirit."

If you would like to do something to help Mission 911, they are still said to be in need of coats, and also toys to hand out to children on Christmas. You can drop off items at the Mission 911 facility, located at 911 Park Avenue.
