CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The Flour Bluff Volunteer Fire Department is coming to the aid of a family left homeless after a fire broke out in their attic Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to the blaze at around 9 a.m. at a home in the 900 block of Buford. It caused heavy damage to the attic and roof of the home, making it unlivable at the moment.

The Flour Bluff Volunteer Fire Department is hoping to help the Gonzales family get into another home in time for the holidays. They are hosting a garage sale Thursday at 904 Buford.

They have also set up an account at the Kleberg Bank on Morgan, under the name Petra and Joselito Gonzales. For more information, call 361-850-6800.
