Brazilian Transfer Students Learning English at TAMUK

KINGSVILLE (Kiii News) -

Texas A&M University-Kingsville is currently playing host to some 31 Brazilian students.

It's part of an ongoing initiative of the Brazilian government to grant scholarships for their best students to study abroad.

The Brazilian students are currently learning English at the University's English Language Training Center, and in addition to learning English, the students are also having some new experiences in food and culture.

After studying English in the fall semester, the students will transition into a regular classroom setting to study various science, technology, engineering and math programs.
