Stay Healthy this Holiday with Trim Recipes for Tamales and Sweets

With the holidays comes great food and sweet treats, which can also bring in lots of extra calories.

You can stay healthy and still enjoy your holiday treats with some healthier recipe alternatives.

Sarah Acosta spoke with nutrion expert Cassandra Guerra with the Food Bank of Corpus Christi, who gave us two good recipe examples of holiday food.

Guerra says when making tamales to substitute the lard for olive oil and chicken broth. She says another healthy alternative for pumpkin pie is a pumpkin mouse without the pie crust.
