External Hard Drive Stolen from Traveling Educational Performer

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A man who tours the country performing educational programs for schools and libraries said his life's work was stolen in Corpus Christi.

Dave Ehlert of Branson Superstars Theatre said the theft happened Dec. 4. He impersonates everyone from Abraham Lincoln to Mark Twain for his Power Point educational presentations. He also does musical tributes to Elvis and other artists.

Ehlert recently performed at the Corpus Christi Library, but earlier this month, he was staying at the Motel 6 on Lantana when he says his external hard drive was stolen.

"The hard drive itself is about $150, but the data that's on there is just, I don't even, I can't even put a value on that because it's how I'm able to do these programs," Ehlert said.

The performer's biggest fear is that somebody erased everything on the hard drive and just pawned it off. He said has filed a report online with the Corpus Christi Police Department.
