Woman Dies in Early Morning Accident, Police Investigating

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Police are investigating an early morning accident that has left one woman dead and five other people injured. The accident happened just before two on Crosstown and Gollihar. Six people were in the car when the driver is believed to have over corrected --ejecting four passengers and trapping two inside. Senior Officer Travis Pace tells 3 News all the occupants were local.

"All the individuals were transported to local hospitals. Of the four that were ejected, two were 25-years-old. One child is believed to be 8-years-old, another child believed to be 12-years-old."

A female who is believed to have been the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police will continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Alcohol is believed to have played a factor in the crash. Stay with 3 news for the latest.
