Police Seek Suspect Vehicle in SPID Hit and Run

Police are on the lookout for a maroon sport utility vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run accident that sent one person to the hospital Monday night.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. on the westbound lanes of SPID, just past Everhart. Witnesses told police that a maroon SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, struck the back of another SUV, causing it to spin out and crash into a concrete barrier.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital to be checked out, but is believed to be okay. The driver of the maroon SUV fled the scene.
